A Top Place to Live... Welcome to Alligator Park, a Punta Gorda, Florida, Resident-Owned cooperative Mobile Home and RV community for adults 55 and up. Punta Gorda was chosen as a top place to live by Money magazine. It was also listed as one of the top seven places to retire in Florida by Kiplinger Personal Finance. Punta Gorda came in First place in USAToday's 10Best Readers Choice for Best Small Town Food Scene.
Punta Gorda offers a pleasant year-round climate, relaxed lifestyle, and an abundance of cultural and recreational opportunities. Folks from all over the country become winter Floridians to enjoy our wildlife, birding, golfing, fishing, beaches and diverse variety of restaurants in the area. Alligator Park's elevation is 24 feet above sea level, one of the highest in the area.
During the winter season, we have hundreds of visitors and residents enjoying our amenities. Our winter residents include RVers who have been coming here for many years (see RV Options) and Mobile Home Owners who have their second or primary home in the Park.
There is plenty to do here at Alligator Park. In season, our activities calender is full and sign up sheets for activities are in the mail room. Year round you can swim in our heated pool (open dawn - dusk), walk around our 36 acre lake, take a non-motorized boat out to fish, or just sit at the lake picnic tables and relax. Pool tables are located in the mini hall, behind the office. There are 50 acres of paved and lighted streets for either bike riding or walking. Within a few miles from the Park are some of the finest golf courses and tennis courts in the area.
Our year-round residents also enjoy and plan activities with pot luck dinners, ladies luncheons, card playing and many social functions within the Park. You will always have something to do here at Alligator Park all year round.
